Engineering firm set up<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): PT Tirtamas Majutama, a diversified business
\ngroup controlled by Hashim Djojohadikusumo, has formed a joint
\nventure with Onoda Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Chicibu
\nOnoda Corporation, Japan's largest cement producer.<\/p>\n
The new company, to be known as PT Tirtamas Onoda Engineering,
\nwill commence business with an authorized capital US$2 million, a
\ncompany statement said here yesterday.<\/p>\n
The joint venture company will offer a full range of
\nengineering services to the fast expanding cement and building
\nmaterials sector in Indonesia and in other Asia-Pacific
\ncountries.<\/p>\n
The company will offer such services as feasibility studies
\nfor new plants, design and layout preparations for plants, tender
\ndocuments, audits of existing plants to reduce power and fuel
\nconsumption, supervisory services and environmental control
\nstudies.<\/p>\n
Tirtamas Onoda will offer special cement plant equipment for
\nthe production of clinker, fuel consumption and equipment to
