Pertamina has confirmed its readiness to follow government directives\nregarding the policy to cut energy subsidies in the 2027 Draft State\nBudget (RAPBN). The implementation of this policy will be coordinated\nwith the government in its capacity as the regulator.<\/p>\n
Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth Marcelino\nVerieza Dumatubun, stated that as a business entity, Pertamina will\nadjust the implementation of the policy on the ground. Coordination with\nthe government is essential for its application and enforcement.<\/p>\n

The Government and the Indonesian House of Representatives\u2019 Budget\nCommittee (Banggar DPR RI) previously agreed to a reduction in the\nenergy subsidy allocation in the 2027 RAPBN by Rp 11.44 trillion. The\nenergy subsidy budget, originally planned at Rp 2 trillion, has been\nadjusted to Rp 261.50 trillion.<\/p>\n
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that the budget\nadjustment is primarily influenced by changes in global oil price\nassumptions, which are projected to be lower. In terms of energy\ndistribution volume, the decrease is considered not to be\nsignificant.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause the assumption is that global oil prices will fall. There is\na slight decrease, but in terms of volume, the reduction is not very\nlarge,\u201d Purbaya told journalists in Jakarta on Monday (7\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
The Finance Minister continued, noting that the government will\ncontinue to monitor future developments to determine if further budget\nefficiencies are required. For now, the revision to energy subsidies is\nmainly driven by the decline in projected global oil prices.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will look ahead to see how we might need to save. But for now,\nthe main reason for the decrease is that global oil prices are predicted\nto fall, based on the assumptions,\u201d Purbaya explained.<\/p>\n
The budget reduction occurs primarily in the subsidies for Specific\nType Fuel (BBM Jenis Tertentu) and 3kg LPG.
