        "content": "<p>Ahmad Erani Yustika, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy\nand Mineral Resources (ESDM), said the additional budget of Rp14\ntrillion for 2026 has been approved by the Ministry of Finance. The\nextra funds will be used for a number of national strategic projects.\n\u201cABT, the additional budget, has come out of the Ministry of Finance.\nFor 2026, our ABT is an additional Rp14 trillion,\u201d Erani said at the\nESDM Ministry office in Jakarta, on Tuesday, 19 May 2026. According to\nhim, the village electricity programme is one of the government\u2019s top\npriorities. \u201cBy 2029 it must be finished; all people must have\nelectricity,\u201d Erani said. Earlier, in September 2025, DPR Commission XII\napproved the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources\u2019 proposed\ndefinitive ceiling of Rp21.67 trillion for Fiscal Year 2026. The figure\nis significantly higher than the initial ceiling of Rp8.12 trillion. The\nbudget is not only for routine expenditures but also to support\naccelerating the President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s vision and mission. One\nfocus is increasing electrification through the construction of village\nelectricity for communities without access to electricity. Rp5 trillion\nof the additional funds is allocated specifically for the village\nelectricity programme. The funds will be used to build electrical\ninfrastructure in 1,135 locations. In addition to village electricity,\nthe Ministry\u2019s infrastructure budget will also support other community\nassistance programmes. These programmes include providing converter kits\nfor fishermen, building city gas networks, and subsidies for new\nelectricity connections for low-income households.<\/p>",
