Enarotali hospital runs short of medicine<\/p>\n
JAYAPURA, Irian Jaya: The Enarotali General Hospital has been
\nunable to provide maximum health services to local people because
\nthey do not have enough medicine, hospital authorities claimed.<\/p>\n
Oktiavianus Kayame, director of the hospital, said the
\nshortage of medicine was caused by the financial difficulties the
\nhospital was facing.<\/p>\n
"This occurred because the local administration is giving
\npriority to the physical development program," Antara quoted him
\nas saying here on Monday.<\/p>\n
He said he had frequently reported the drug shortages to the
\nlocal administration but nothing was done about the problem.<\/p>\n
"The hospital has hundreds of patients with Tuberculosis, lung
\nand skin diseases. We need an adequate supply of drugs to cure
