        "content": "<p>The Empowered Women (Perempuan Berdaya) programme, initiated by the\nYayasan Indonesia Setara (YIS), continues to encourage the enhancement\nof women\u2019s capacity and economic independence through entrepreneurship\ntraining based on local potential. YIS Founder, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno,\nstated that the programme is designed to open business opportunities for\nwomen by utilising commodities commonly found in their surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>One of the training sessions was held in Serang City, Banten, on 25\nMay 2026, in collaboration with Rumah Sandiuno Indonesia. In this\nactivity, participants received training on processing bananas into\nvalue-added products.<\/p>\n<p>According to Sandiaga, bananas were chosen as a commodity because the\nplant is one of the region\u2019s leading potentials that holds opportunities\nfor development into home-based business products. Participants were\nequipped with the skills to make \u2018pisang sale\u2019 and \u2018banana coin\u2019 snacks\n\u2014 banana-based treats that have a longer shelf life and a higher selling\nvalue compared to fresh fruit.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018The results of the training showed a quite positive response from\nthe participants,\u2019 Sandiaga said in a press release in Jakarta on\nThursday (11\/6\/2026). Within about three hours after the training, a\nnumber of participants successfully secured orders for a significant\nquantity of products.<\/p>",
