Employment opportunities<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Ernst & Young, Hanadi, Sarwoko and Sandjaja, an
\naccounting joint venture, is offering 30 employment opportunities
\nto students of the University of Indonesia, Trisakti University
\nand Padjadjaran University in Bandung, West Java.<\/p>\n
The initiative was disclosed on Thursday as part of Ernst &
\nYoung's plan to conduct roadshows and selection tests in the
\nthree universities.<\/p>\n
The program will be held at the Padjadjaran University from
\nApril 22 to April 25, the University of Indonesia from April 27
\nto April 29 and May 8, and Trisakti University on May 10, the
\ncompany said in a statement made available to The Jakarta Post.<\/p>\n
The graduates sought by the firm are expected to fill the
\ntaxation, management consulting and corporate finance positions,
\nthe statement said.<\/p>\n
\"In today's tough times, when job vacancies are limited, we
\nhope that our program will encourage other firms to also provide
\nbadly needed employment,\" said company president Peter Knox.<\/p>\n
Students interested in the offer are invited to undertake the
\nselection process including technical tests on accounting and
\nauditing, problem solving and prioritizing to a series of
\ninterviews.<\/p>\n
\"We are looking for graduates who, among other things, possess
\nstrong academic credentials and are committed to learning and
\nhave strong interpersonal skills,\" Budiman Natadiningrat, the
\nfirm's human resources director, said.<\/p>\n
Besides offering the employment opportunities, the company
\nalso will provide scholarships to 10 students based on their
\nacademic achievements.<\/p>\n
The scholarships, worth Rp 500,000 per semester per student,
\nwill initially be given to students of the University of
\nIndonesia for one year, the statement said.<\/p>\n
Ernst and Young, an international accounting firm which has
\nbeen operating in Indonesia over the last 30 years, provides a
\nwide range of services, ranging from auditing, taxation,
\nmanagement consulting, corporate advisory to business advisory
