        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia \u2014 PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk (EMAS) has\ndecided not to distribute dividends and agreed to restructure its\nmanagement. These decisions were approved at the Annual General Meeting\nof Shareholders (AGMS) on 22 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The AGMS approved the appointment of three director candidates and\nfive commissioner candidates. In a press release, EMAS stated that this\nmanagement change is part of efforts to strengthen the company\u2019s\nmanagement structure and governance by adopting global mining industry\nstandards, particularly in project execution, risk management, financial\ndiscipline, and transparency to investors.<\/p>\n<p>The three approved directors possess a combination of technical,\noperational, and financial experience in the development and management\nof mining assets. They include Nicholas John Green, Barend Johannes\nNicolaas Knoetze, and Suryadinata Tanu.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, EMAS approved the appointment of five new\ncommissioners, including three independent commissioners.
