Elize's dossier sent to prosecutor<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): City police submitted on Thursday the dossiers
\non bomb suspects Elize Maria Tuwahatu and her mother Sonya to the
\nJakarta Prosecutor's Office.<\/p>\n
City police spokesman Sr. Comr. Anton Bahrul Alam said Elize
\nwould be charged with possessing three bombs, while her mother
\nwould be charged with assisting her in the commission of a crime.<\/p>\n
"We (the police) think that we have enough evidence and
\nwitnesses to charge Elize and her mother," Anton told reporters
\nat his office.<\/p>\n
He stated that Elize would be charged with violating Emergency
\nLaw No. 12\/1951 on explosives which carries a maximum penalty of
\ndeath.<\/p>\n
He said that for the time being Elize and her mother were
\nbeing detained in the city police lockup.<\/p>\n
"We will hand over the suspects and the evidence to the
\nprosecutors after they decide that the dossiers are complete," he
\nadded.<\/p>\n
The 33-year-old Elize was caught red-handed on Jan. 19 with
\nthe three bombs at the Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature theme
\npark (TMII) in East Jakarta. Police also arrested Elize's mother
\nat her house on Jl. Suwiryo, Menteng, Central Jakarta for
\nknowingly allowing the bombs to be stored in the house.<\/p>\n
Elize claimed that the bombs were given to her by former
\npresident Soeharto's fugitive son Hutomo "Tommy" Mandala Putra
\nfour days before she was arrested. (jun)<\/p>",
