"summary": "Indonesia's Minister for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Arifah Choiri Fauzi, has declared that the terms \"helper\" and \"employer\" are obsolete following the enactment of the Domestic Workers Protection Law (UU PPRT), which now recognises domestic workers as legitimate employees entitled to fair wages, reasonable hours, rest days, healthy food, and social security. The law mandates humane treatment free from violence and legal protections, including mandatory reporting of employment details to local community leaders to ensure accountability. Advocacy groups like JALA PRT have praised the government and parliament for passing this long-awaited legislation after over 20 years of delays, marking a significant step towards formalising and safeguarding the rights of millions of domestic workers in Indonesia.",
