A clean government that commands respect must be created
\nwithout delay because the Indonesian people, who have a deep
\nmoral and ethical sense, have long dreamed of having one. So, all
\nsocial ills connected with the mentality of corruption and
\nnepotism must be cured. All these must be wiped out across the
\ncountry because they harm the nation and the state in addition to
\ntarnishing the country's image internationally.<\/p>\n
Dishonesty and collusion have their origin in some people
\nhaving a corrupt and nepotistic mentality. These people, if they
\ncontinue to be allowed to go about doing as they wish, will only
\ntarnish the image of the state and government apparatuses and
\nalso damage their authority. Therefore, stern and concrete steps
\nmust be taken not only in political and economic areas but also
\nin legal and moral realms.<\/p>\n
We must always bear in mind that corruption, collusion and
\nnepotism are now under an intense spotlight domestically and
\ninternationally. Corruption, collusion and nepotism are the
\nculprits of our vulnerable economic system.<\/p>\n
I fully agree with an idea once expressed by a Merdeka reader
\nto the effect that the solution to the present economic and
\nmonetary crisis is none other than economic reform plus (namely,
\npertaining to the economic, political, legal and moral realms).
\nThis is the right path to take to improve the situation.<\/p>\n
