        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 The development of electric vehicles (EVs) in the future is\npredicted to reduce the demand for lubricants for vehicles. However,\nIndonesia\u2019s lubricants market is considered to have a fairly good\nprospect in the coming years. Nugroho Setyo Utomo, Vice President\nMarketing of PT Pertamina Lubricants, said that globally Indonesia\nremains one of the lubricants markets that continues to grow. \u2018Although\nthere is development of EV products (electric vehicles), compared with\nother countries, especially around the world, our market is still\ngrowing at an average of 2.5 percent,\u2019 he said. \u2018Both for the industrial\nsegment and for the automotive segment, in terms of annual demand. This\nmeans it is still a fairly attractive figure,\u2019 he added. Nugroho said\nthat the growth of lubricant demand in Indonesia is even higher than in\ndeveloped countries. Although he did not detail it, the growth is linked\nto the high use of motor vehicles that still run on internal combustion\nengines and to ongoing industrial activity. Based on data from research\nfirm Mordor Intelligence, Indonesia\u2019s lubricant market was recorded at\naround 1.20 billion litres in 2025. Demand is expected to rise in the\ncoming years. By 2026, the volume of the lubricant market is forecast to\nreach around 1.23 billion litres and continue to rise to around 1.41\nbillion litres by 2031. For the lubricant industry, these figures\nindicate that the domestic market remains fairly promising. Although the\nEV trend continues to develop, conventional engine-powered vehicles\nstill dominate Indonesia\u2019s roads. In addition, lubricant demand does not\nonly come from the automotive sector, but also from various industrial\nsectors that are still expanding.<\/p>",
