        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Member of the VI Commission of the DPR from the\nPAN faction, Abdul Hakim Bafagih, urged PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) I\nto focus on resolving internal company issues rather than being harsh\ntowards small citizens.<\/p>\n<p>According to Hakim, the biggest problems in state-owned enterprises\n(BUMNs) stem from mafia activities and internal schemes.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018When it comes to theft and losses, the public is aware that the\nlargest issues in many plantation BUMNs often arise from leaks, mafia,\ninternal schemes, and practices harming the company from within. These\nshould be addressed first,\u2019 Hakim said when asked for confirmation on\nMonday (25 May 2026).<\/p>\n<p>He stressed that PTPN must not exhaust its efforts chasing small\ncitizens like elderly Mujiran.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018PTPN must improve itself. The company\u2019s energy should not be spent\nchasing small citizens while major internal issues go unnoticed,\u2019 he\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Hakim also stated that a humanitarian approach should be prioritised\nin resolving cases involving small communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018I appreciate the swift action and firm stance of BP BUMN Head Dony\nOskaria in handling the case involving Mujiran. A humanitarian, social\njustice-oriented, and protection-focused approach towards small citizens\nshould be the face of BUMNs moving forward,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n<p>PTPN I management followed the directive from BP BUMN Head Dony\nOskaria to halt the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Through restorative justice mechanisms, we are relieved that Mujiran\nhas been released and reunited with his family,\u2019 said PTPN management in\na statement on Monday (25 May 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Mujiran was accused of hiding tapped rubber latex in bushes to sell\nto his accomplice, Nur Wahid (33).<\/p>\n<p>Officers apprehended Nur Wahid during a pre-dawn operation to seize\ntwo sacks of rubber.<\/p>\n<p>An investigation revealed 10 sacks of rubber totalling 550 kilograms\nin weight.<\/p>\n<p>PTPN reported a loss of Rp8.8 million from the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The case attracted public attention due to Mujiran\u2019s advanced age,\nwith reports stating the action was taken to support his family.<\/p>",
