        "content": "<p>Investigators from the South Sulawesi Police have examined eight\nindividuals as witnesses in connection with the case of the death of\nBripda DP (19), who allegedly experienced violence while at the Samapta\nBarracks of the South Sulawesi Police.<\/p>\n<p>In this case, investigators have named one person as a suspect,\nBripda P, who is the victim\u2019s senior.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the ongoing process, there are eight people who have been\nquestioned as witnesses related to the victim,\u201d said the Chief of South\nSulawesi Police, Inspector General of Police Djuhandhani Raharjo Puro,\non Thursday (February 26).<\/p>\n<p>This two-star general stated that of the eight witnesses questioned,\nfour were located next to the victim\u2019s bed in the barracks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe four witnesses stated that on the night in question, the victim\nwas not sleeping in the barracks but was outside sleeping separately\nwith other colleagues,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>From the eight witnesses, investigators have not yet found direct\ninvolvement in the alleged murder case of Bripda DP.<\/p>\n<p>However, two members are facing ethical proceedings for allegedly\ncommitting violations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are still investigating, but there are two people suspected of,\nor who we are subjecting to, disciplinary or code of ethics proceedings.\nWe believe that Bripda MS cleaned up the blood to prevent anyone from\nknowing about the incident,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, investigators also received information that one member\nof the Samapta Polda South Sulawesi witnessed the incident directly but\ndid not report it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, that member will face disciplinary and code of ethics\nproceedings. The results of the autopsy have been released, and this\nincident was not a gang attack but an act of assault,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
