        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2014 Joint officers from the Civil Service Police Unit\n(Satpol PP) and the Transportation Agency conducted a tyre valve removal\noperation and crackdown on illegal street vendors in the Kembangan area\nof West Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The activity forms part of routine enforcement of Regional Regulation\n(Perda) Number 8 of 2007 on Public Order, targeting a number of streets\nand areas prone to illegal street vending and unauthorised parking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis time, the Kembangan sub-district\u2019s \u2018Orderly Wednesday\u2019\noperation targeted four road sections with a force of 40 personnel,\u201d\nsaid Kembangan Sub-district Head Joko Suparno when contacted in Jakarta\non Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Joko said the four targeted road areas were Jalan Pesanggrahan, Puri\nIndah, Kembangan Raya and Jalan Kembangan Selatan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a result, three street vendors found placing goods on pavements\nwere issued written warnings,\u201d Joko said.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, 15 four-wheeled vehicles and 22 two-wheeled vehicles\nfound parked illegally were directed to designated parking areas.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, eight motorcycles were subjected to tyre valve removal\nunder the Tyre Valve Removal Operation (OCP) as the vehicles had been\nleft parked illegally with no owners present.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeyond improving order and the aesthetic quality of the area, we\nhope \u2018Orderly Wednesday\u2019 will educate the public to comply with\nprevailing regulations, to refrain from parking illegally and occupying\npavements,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
