Eight arrested for alleged robbery<\/p>\n
BEKASI (JP): City police chief Maj. Gen. Hamami Nata said
\nyesterday officers had arrested seven men for allegedly robbing
\none of BDNI branches at the Lippo Cikarang complex, Bekasi.<\/p>\n
He said the men allegedly ambushed the motorized mobile bank
\nin Lemahabang, on Tuesday, attacking the employees and stealing
\nRp 96 million.<\/p>\n
\"The seven men were separately arrested in Pandeglang, West
\nJava. We're really happy that we could nab them on the following
\nWednesday and Thursday.<\/p>\n
\"We are still hunting for another suspect.\"<\/p>\n
The seven alleged offenders have been identified only as Ms,
\nS, M, Sb, Y, Kh and A.<\/p>\n
\"Ms is the mobile bank's driver who, on the day of the
\nincident, was scheduled to transfer the money to a private
\ncompany located in the Lemahabang industrial estate.\"<\/p>\n
Ms was arrested for allegedly conspiring with the robbers,
\nsupplying them with inside information and setting up the ambush.<\/p>\n
During the robbery, Ms, a female employee and three of the
\nbank's security guards were neither beaten nor tied up.<\/p>\n
Hamami urged banks and private companies to use police
\nprotection services whenever they wanted to transfer money from
\none place to another.<\/p>\n
\"I know that three of the bank's security guards escorted the
\nbank's car. Apparently, it was not enough. They should be guarded
\nby armed police officers as well.\"<\/p>\n
He said the suspects were still being questioned.<\/p>\n
The police have so far confiscated Rp 47 million, 40 grams of
\ngold, a car and some weapons believed to have been used during
