Eight Air Force officers questioned<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Eight members of the Indonesian Air Force were
\nquestioned over their conduct in a cafe that damaged property and
\ninjured several staff members near their headquarters of Atang
\nSanjaya in Bogor recently.<\/p>\n
\"The Indonesian military police and the Indonesian Air Force's
\nsecurity and code division are investigating the case,\"
\nIndonesian Air Force spokesman First Marshal Eddy Harjoko told
\nAntara on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
He said that one of the suspects was a member of the
\nIndonesian Air Force's special forces.<\/p>\n
According to him, they could face dismissal from the Air Force
\nplus other disciplinary sanctions.
\n\"The Indonesian Air Force chief is very angry over their actions.
\nThey could be discharged from the military if found guilty,\" he
\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Last week, eight members of the Atang Sanjaya Air Force
\ndivision visited Lembayung cafe, about five kilometers from their
\nheadquarters in Atang Sanjaya, Bogor at about 2 a.m. when it was
\nabout to close.<\/p>\n
Without any provocation they damaged some tables and chairs,
\nbroke some beer bottles and attacked cafe employees, two of whom
\nhad to be treated at a hospital in Bogor.<\/p>\n
\"This is very embarrassing for us. We don't want this to occur
\nagain in the future,\" the Air Force's military police unit head
\nFirst Marshal Issunarto said.--JP<\/p>",
