        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Commuter has added two train\njourneys on the Rangkasbitung-Tanah Abang line during the 2026 Eid\nholiday transport period.<\/p>\n<p>Karina Amanda, Vice President Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter,\nstated that the addition brings the total number of journeys between\n13-30 March 2026 to 1,065 services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn fact, we have been running these two additional trains since the\nend of last year,\u201d Karina said in Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>However, these services were not yet operational during last year\u2019s\n2025 Eid transport period, marking a key difference between the 2025 and\n2026 holiday services.<\/p>\n<p>The two trains each have a capacity of 10 standard formation units\n(SF), which represents the maximum capacity per train set. \u201cThe SF\nmaximum is 10,\u201d Karina stated.<\/p>\n<p>PT KAI is ensuring readiness for the 2026 Eid holiday transport\nservices across Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi (Jabodetabek)\nand surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p>During this Eid transport period, KAI Commuter will operate 1,149\ndaily journeys across the Jabodetabek area, Merak and surrounding\nregions, including services to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKAI Commuter is providing a transport capacity of 50,244,436\npassengers, which is four per cent higher than last year\u2019s capacity,\u201d\nshe said.<\/p>\n<p>With total capacity reaching 47,059,996, an estimated 18,972,445\npassengers are projected to use the Jabodetabek Commuter Line.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis figure represents a one per cent increase in passenger numbers\ncompared to the previous year\u2019s Eid transport period,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond Jabodetabek, KAI Commuter is also optimising services on the\nBasoetta Commuter Line and the Merak Commuter Line.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure passenger comfort, KAI Commuter will station 5,400\nfrontline personnel, including train drivers, security officers and\nhealth staff.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, KAI Commuter has added support facilities including\nportable toilets at Bogor and Pasar Minggu stations, as well as waiting\narea tents at Bekasi, Bogor, Tangerang, Rangkasbitung and Cilegon\nstations.<\/p>\n<p>For the Merak Commuter Line, which is integrated with the Jabodetabek\nnetwork, the company will operate 14 journeys per day with a transport\ncapacity of 412,352 passengers. Passenger volume on this route is\nprojected to reach 299,259 travellers, representing a one per cent\nincrease from the previous year.<\/p>",
