Lazada Indonesia has noted increasing\nconsumer interest in various products supporting the mass exodus (mudik)\ntravel and household needs during Eid.<\/p>\n<p>A national survey by the Transportation Policy Agency of the Ministry\nof Transportation estimates approximately 143.9 million people, or more\nthan 50 percent of Indonesia\u2019s population, will undertake mudik travel\nduring Eid 2026. This figure makes the period one of the largest\npopulation mobility events annually.<\/p>\n<p>Erika Agustine, Commercial Director of Lazada Indonesia, stated that\ndemand for various product categories typically increases ahead of Eid\nal-Fitr, ranging from automotive products, household appliances, to\nelectronic devices.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, this surge in demand is driven by two primary\nactivities during the Eid period: mudik travel and Eid celebrations with\nfamily at home.<\/p>\n<p>The Centre of Reform on Economics (CORE) research institute estimates\nthat money circulation during Ramadan and Eid 2026 could reach\napproximately 190 trillion rupiah, an increase from approximately 160\ntrillion rupiah in the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsumers seek products that support smooth travel whilst meeting\nhousehold needs when gathering with family.
