        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) recorded 2.2 million, or precisely\n2,217,462 vehicles, leaving the Jabotabek area during the period from\nWednesday (11 March 2026) to Sunday (22 March 2026), or H-10 to H+1 of\nthe Eid al-Fitr holiday.<\/p>\n<p>This figure is the cumulative traffic flow from four main toll gates:\nCikupa GT (from the Merak direction), Ciawi GT (from the Puncak\ndirection), Cikampek Main GT (from the Trans Java direction), and\nKalihurip Main GT (from the Bandung direction).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total traffic volume leaving the Jabotabek area has increased by\n27.1% compared to normal traffic of 1,744,683 vehicles,\u201d said Jasa Marga\nPresident Director Rivan A. Purwantono in a statement on Monday (23\nMarch 2026).<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the 2.2 million vehicles departing Jabotabek\nconstitute 62.8% of the total projection of 3.5 million vehicles\nexpected to exit Jakarta during the 11-31 March 2026 period.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, vehicles heading west (Merak) numbered 555,339, or about\n25%, and those heading south (Puncak) totalled 446,253, or about\n20.1%.<\/p>\n<p>In detail, for the eastbound direction, vehicles heading to Trans\nJava via Cikampek Main GT on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road numbered\n790,791, up 129.8% from normal traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Vehicles heading to Bandung via Kalihurip Main GT on the Cipularang\nToll Road totalled 425,079, an increase of 10.1% from normal\ntraffic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung\nvia these two GTs amounted to 1,215,870 vehicles, up 66.5% from normal\ntraffic,\u201d Rivan explained. For the westbound direction, vehicles heading\nto Merak via Cikupa GT on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road numbered\n555,339, up 4.3% from normal traffic.<\/p>\n<p>For the southbound direction, the number of vehicles returning to\nJabotabek heading to Puncak via Ciawi GT on the Jagorawi Toll Road was\n446,253, up 2.8% from normal traffic.<\/p>\n<p>Jasa Marga also advises the public travelling for family visits or\nreturning to Jabotabek via toll roads to ensure travel readiness.<\/p>\n<p>This includes ensuring the driver\u2019s condition and vehicle are in\nprime and roadworthy condition, preparing provisions, ensuring\nsufficient fuel and electronic money balance.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, obey signs and instructions from on-site officers, and\nuse time wisely by not lingering too long at rest areas to allow turns\nwith other road users.<\/p>",
