Jakarta \u2014 The Police Security Command (Baharkam) is preparing two air\nambulance units positioned across Java to provide medical assistance in\nthe event of incidents during the Eid homecoming and return journey\nperiod in 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cSpecifically, we from Baharkam have established two air ambulances\nthat will be deployed as needed should incidents occur during the\nhomecoming travel period. However, these are initially being positioned\nin Java,\u201d said Baharkam Commander Major General Karyoto during a hearing\nwith the parliament\u2019s Commission III at the parliamentary complex in\nSenayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The air ambulances represent operational support for Operation\nKetupat 2026 from Baharkam\u2019s Water and Air Police Corps. This forms part\nof the police\u2019s efforts to support security operations and provide\noptimal medical response for the public.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome of the air ambulances utilise NBO-105 and NBO-105 P-115\nhelicopters, capable of transporting two casualties simultaneously and\nequipped with aviation safety standards and aerial medical equipment,\u201d\nKaryoto explained.<\/p>\n
The helicopters will be used to evacuate casualties in emergency\nconditions, such as traffic accidents, and to ensure the public feels\nsafe and comfortable whilst celebrating Eid this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring Operation Ketupat 2026, Baharkam will maintain standby\nstations at Kalikangkung Rest Area in Semarang and at KM 29 Rest Area on\nthe Jakarta-Cikampek route,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Regarding maritime support, the Water Police Corps is deploying two\npatrol vessels: the Gelatik 5016 positioned at Merak Port in Banten and\nthe Bima 7015 at Ketapang Gilimanuk Port.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the Bhayangkara Mobile Corps has prepared 19 patrol\nvehicles and will deploy tourism police and wildlife police officers at\nvarious crowded locations.<\/p>\n
According to the Baharkam Commander, a total of 89,228 police\npersonnel are engaged in Operation Ketupat 2026 to ensure smooth and\nsecure travel for communities celebrating Eid 1446 Hijri.<\/p>\n
\u201cOperation Ketupat, coded Ketupat 2026, will be conducted for 13\ndays, commencing 13 March and concluding 25 March 2026,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
He detailed that 548 Baharkam personnel are involved in the central\noperational task force for the operation.<\/p>\n
