        "content": "<p>EEX plugs Indonesian well<\/p>\n<p>HOUSTON (Dow Jones): EEX Corp. said an exploratory well at the<br>\nKarang Anyar prospect on the Tuban block in Indonesia was plugged<br>\nand abandoned after non-commercial accumulations of natural gas<br>\nwere encountered.<\/p>\n<p>EEX had a 50 percent interest in this well.<\/p>\n<p>The company also said it had completed sidetrack drilling<br>\noperations on the Llano prospect on Garden Banks Block 386 in the<br>\nGulf of Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>EEX said analysis of the logging data indicates the presence<br>\nof several hydrocarbon-bearing sands in the Lower Pliocene and<br>\nMiocene aged sections.<\/p>\n<p>In a press release Monday, the company said it is currently<br>\ncontinuing evaluation activities.<\/p>\n<p>EEX said it expects to begin appraisal drilling in the Lower<br>\nPliocene and Milocene resevoirs this fall.<\/p>",
