        "content": "<p>Jakarta - The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education\n(Kemendikdasmen) has outlined a number of differences between the\nimplementation of Integrated National Schools (SNT), initiated by\nPresident Prabowo Subianto, and regular schools.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an illustration, we compare it with regular schools; there are\nseveral aspects that may serve as a foundation,\u201d said Gogot Suharwoto,\nDirector General of Early Childhood Education, Primary Education,\nNon-Formal and Informal Education at Kemendikdasmen, during a Hearing\nMeeting with Commission X, the Secretary General of the Ministry of\nReligious Affairs, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of\nHealth, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, and\nKemendikdasmen in Jakarta on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Broadly speaking, he continued, three elements are being transformed\nin the SNT implementation: infrastructure, human resources, and\nlearning.<\/p>\n<p>When compared with regular schools, he said one of the differences\nrelates to the operational concept. Integrated National Schools, Gogot\nstated, will exist within a single ecosystem so that children\u2019s talents,\ninterests, and potential can be nurtured continuously from junior high\nschool (SMP) to senior high school (SMA) level, as they are managed by\none director.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegular schools are different, because SMP is managed by the\ndistrict\/city, while SMA is managed by the province, so student\nmonitoring and development are handled or monitored by different local\ngovernments,\u201d Gogot said.<\/p>\n<p>The second aspect is that the Integrated National School curriculum\nwill adopt a \u2018national plus\u2019 curriculum, enriched with global\ncompetencies such as STEM and sports.<\/p>\n<p>The third difference is that prospective Integrated National School\nstudents are individuals with achievements at the district\/city level,\nproviding them with a place to learn and develop their achievements\ncontinuously.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThus, it is hoped that high-achieving children will have a place to\nstudy at the school they aspire to,\u201d Gogot said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, in terms of facilities, he added that Integrated\nNational Schools are set to be built with modern, world-class learning\nfacilities and teaching staff with international competencies,\nsupporting a continuous learning process from SMP to SMA level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIntegrated National Schools must eventually become centres for\nteacher and curriculum development at the district level, and serve as\ncatalysts for improving education quality in the regions through\noutreach to surrounding schools,\u201d Gogot Suharwoto stated.<\/p>",
