East Timor exports workers<\/p>\n
DILI, East Timor: The local Manpower Office plans to send 500
\npeople to other provinces next month, according to an official.<\/p>\n
They will be sent to eight provinces: Riau, South Sumatra,
\nLampung, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan,
\nSouth Sulawesi and Maluku, Yosef Susanto, head of the manpower
\noffice, told Antara<\/p>\n
"They will be employed at some 100 big and small
\ncorporations," he said, adding that the plan would be carried out
\nimmediately and completed by the end of August.<\/p>\n
East Timor, Indonesia's youngest province, has one of the
\nhighest unemployment rates in the country.<\/p>\n
Susanto said there are now 18,000 East Timorese registered as
\nunemployed. The East Timorese work force increases by around
