Head of the East Java Regional Personnel Agency Questioned by the KPK\nas a Witness in the Ponorogo Job-Selling Case<\/p>\n
The Head of the Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) of East Java\nProvince, Indah Wahyuni, confirmed that she was questioned by the\nCorruption Eradication Commission (KPK).<\/p>\n
Indah stated that she was questioned by the KPK as an expert witness\nand was asked for information regarding the alleged job-selling case in\nPonorogo Regency.<\/p>\n
\u201cI would like to clarify that I was questioned as a witness, and I\ncould even be considered an expert witness because the questions were\nrelated to regulations. There is no connection to the job-selling case,\u201d\nIndah said in Surabaya on Tuesday (24 February).<\/p>\n
Indah explained that the questioning took place twice, once in\nJakarta and once at the State Treasury Service Office (KPPN) in\nMadiun.<\/p>\n
During the questioning, the investigators\u2019 questions were related to\nthe provisions for the appointment of directors of regional hospitals\nwho come from employees of the Regional Public Service Agency\n(BLUD).<\/p>\n
In this case, the KPK has named four suspects, namely the Regent of\nPonorogo, Sugiri Sancoko, the Regional Secretary of Ponorogo, Agus\nPramono, the Director of the Dr.\u00a0Harjono Ponorogo Regional Hospital,\nYunus Mahatma, and Sucipto, who is a contractor for the Dr.\u00a0Harjono\nRegional Hospital.<\/p>\n
Indah said that the explanations she provided referred to several\nregulations, including provisions regarding the appointment of\nprofessional staff within the BLUD.<\/p>\n
In addition, KPK investigators also asked about the evaluation letter\nfrom the Government Organization Bureau of the East Java Province\nregarding the regent\u2019s regulation on the organisation and working\nprocedures of regional hospitals.<\/p>\n
The letter refers to the provisions regarding regional devices and\nthe organisational structure of hospitals.<\/p>\n
Indah emphasised that the evaluation letter only relates to\nregulations, not a recommendation for the dismissal of specific\nofficials.<\/p>\n
She also said that all the documents she brought during the\nquestioning were seized by investigators as evidence for the trial.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll the documents I brought related to the regulations were seized\nas evidence. So it is not true that it is related to the allegation of\njob-selling,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Indah regretted the circulation of information on social media\nstating that she was involved in the job-selling practice and was\nquestioned by the KPK. According to her, the information is not factual\nand has the potential to cause misunderstandings in the public.<\/p>\n
She added that a position is a trust that must be maintained and\naccounted for. She leaves the assessment entirely to the governor as the\nPersonnel Supervisor.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor me, a position is a trust. There is no permanent position. I\nwill not betray the trust that has been given,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
