        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, Kompas.com - The East Jakarta municipal government has\nconfirmed plans to install spotlight lamps in Cawang Forest Park as a\nmeasure to prevent indecent conduct at the location.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe road maintenance team will also add lighting so that activities\nhere are visible from the outside. Two spotlights will be installed,\u201d\nsaid Makasar Sub-District Head Dimas Prayudi at Cawang Forest Park on\nFriday 27 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond installing spotlight lamps, the East Jakarta municipal\ngovernment will also close two access points at the location to prevent\nindecent conduct.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter that, there will be park monitoring and maintenance so that\nits function can be more optimal,\u201d explained Dimas.<\/p>\n<p>A joint task force will also conduct patrols to prevent misuse in the\nCawang Forest Park area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will conduct operations at night with the civil protection police\nand the three pillars together with the district police and territorial\nmilitia. Operations begin at 21:00 in the evening, and personnel from\nthe parks department will be stationed on-site to monitor community\nactivities and detect suspected park misuse,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, a video showing several men entering Cawang Forest Park\non DI Panjaitan Street, Kebon Pala, Makasar, East Jakarta, went viral on\nsocial media.<\/p>\n<p>In the video posted on Instagram account <span class=\"citation\" data-cites=\"ijoeel\">@ijoeel<\/span>, the recorder stated that the area is\nfrequently visited by men during nighttime hours.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know what they intend to do. Every night after 01:00 WIB,\nthey enter the park without knowing what they\u2019re doing. Meanwhile, this\npark is dark,\u201d said the video recorder.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Cawang Forest Park also came under scrutiny in 2023, when\nauthorities raided the location after it was suspected of being a site\nfor indecent conduct.<\/p>",
