        "content": "<p>Dysentery kills five<\/p>\n<p>AMBON, Maluku: Five residents of Kesui island in East Seram<br>\nregency have died and dozens of others were treated at local<br>\ncommunity health centers on Wednesday after suffering from<br>\ndysentery and vomiting.<\/p>\n<p>Chief of Watubela, Kesui and Teor Islands' Community Union<br>\nDien Kelilauw blamed the poor medical facilities for the high<br>\nnumber of fatalities.<\/p>\n<p>\"As of Wednesday, five have died,\" said Dien, who is also head<br>\nof the state news agency Antara in Ambon, the capital of Maluku<br>\nprovince.<\/p>\n<p>He also complained of the Maluku government's lack of<br>\nattention to the health of people in remote areas in the<br>\nprovince. He added that the outbreak occurred a week ago but the<br>\ngovernment only sent doctors along with medicine on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy head of Maluku provincial health office Fenno Tahalele<br>\nconfirmed that the office had sent doctors and other medical<br>\nstaff to the remote island, and he hoped that the outbreak could<br>\nbe quickly addressed. -- JP<\/p>",
