        "content": "<p>Dutch writer honored in Bali<\/p>\n<p>DENPASAR, Bali: Hedwig Ingrid Rignodis Hinzler, a scholar from<br>\nHolland, has been nominated for an award by the Bali provincial<br>\ngovernment for her role in preserving local art and culture<br>\nthrough her writings, Antara reported yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Hinzler, 55, a staff lecturer of Indonesian studies at the<br>\neducation department of Leiden University, has written more than<br>\n20 books on Balinese art and culture in English.<\/p>\n<p>Hinzler, who is being nominated for the Seni Dharma Kusuma<br>\naward, along with six others, is now in Puri Kerambitan near<br>\nDenpasar working on a three-volume book on Balinese literature,<br>\nthe news agency said.<\/p>\n<p>The other nominees include writer and screen director I Gusti<br>\nNgurah Putu Wijaya, sculptor Wayan Pugeg, Balinese literature<br>\nexpert Wayan Japa, sculptor I Nyoman Tanggap, and artists I Gede<br>\nGeruh and I Gusti Ngurah Windya.<\/p>\n<p>The Seni Dharma Kusuma award has been given each year since<br>\n1974 to mark Bali&apos;s anniversary.
