        "content": "<p>The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration\n(Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs has revealed the most\ncommonly used names in Indonesia. On the island of Java, Sutrisno and\nSulastri are the most popular names, prevalent across all age groups.\n\u201cThese are distinctive names; in Java, it\u2019s Sutrisno and Sulastri,\u201d said\nTeguh Setyabudi, Director General of Dukcapil, during a national\ncoordination meeting and the release of first-semester 2026 population\ndata in Jakarta, as quoted on Tuesday (4\/8). Teguh noted that there are\n102,519 males named Sutrisno in Java, while 135,421 females are named\nSulastri. The pattern differs in Sumatra, where the most common names\nare Junaidi for men and Nurhayati for women. Dukcapil recorded\napproximately 45,219 individuals named Junaidi and 83,421 named\nNurhayati on the island. \u201cIt is similar in Sumatra because there are\nmany transmigrants there, many Javanese people,\u201d he explained. The names\nJunaidi and Nurhayati are not only popular in Sumatra but also in\nKalimantan, where they are the most common names on the island of\nBorneo. There are 12,940 men named Junaidi and 14,342 women named\nNurhayati in Kalimantan. The name Nurhayati is also popular on other\nislands, including Sulawesi, Maluku, Nusa Tenggara, and Papua. In\nSulawesi, there are 23,760 women named Nurhayati. However, unlike in\nKalimantan, the name Junaidi is less popular than Sudirman, which is the\nmost common male name in Sulawesi. \u201cIn Maluku, it\u2019s Rahman and\nNurhayati, especially in North Maluku,\u201d he stated. In Nusa Tenggara, the\nmost common names are Ahmad for men and Nurhayati for women. In Papua,\nIsmail is the most common male name, while Nurhayati is the most common\nfemale name. Meanwhile, in Bali, the most common male name is I Wayan\nSudiarta and the most common female name is Ni Nyoman Sari.<\/p>",
