Cilacap Regency, Central Java (ANTARA) - Presidential Chief of Staff\nDudung Abdurachman said that the traits of a successful leader must\ninclude innovation and imagination, so that what they produce can serve\nas an inspiration for others.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe traits of a leader who wants to succeed are, first, that he\ncontinually has imagination, he must have innovation, he must have\nvision and mission, he must have aspirations and hope,\u201d said Dudung on\nNusakambangan Island, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Dudung continued that a successful leader must also dare to make\ndecisions, even when they carry risk.<\/p>\n
\u201cWithout all of these, one merely leads in a mediocre way. And a\ntrait of a successful leader is that he must dare to make decisions,\nwhatever the decision, even if it is risky, he must be brave. Even if it\nis risky or wrong, it is still better than not daring at all, because\nsuccess and victory come from courage,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He cited the transformation at the Nusakambangan Correctional\nInstitution (Lapas) as an example that can inspire others, showing that\na prison is not merely a place where someone serves a sentence, but also\na space for building people.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe coaching programme is able to produce productive citizens while\ncontributing to the food security drive that has been championed by Mr\nPresident,\u201d said Dudung.<\/p>\n
During his visit, Dudung inspected several community development\nprogrammes on Nusakambangan Island that can support food security,\nincluding the Job Training Centre (BLK) for eel farming, the Goat\nFarming BLK, the Grape Plantation and Orchid Plantation, the Vannamei\nShrimp Pond Farming BLK in Bantar Panjang, and the BLK for Laying Hen\nand Duck Farming.<\/p>\n
He expressed hope that the steps taken by the Ministry of Immigration\nand Correctional Services (Kemenimipas) could serve as an example and\nspur other ministries and institutions to support President Prabowo\nSubianto\u2019s food security programme.<\/p>\n
