The government is currently working to transform and synchronise\npolicies, innovation and collaboration among regulators, industry\nexperts, academics and global technology players to strengthen\nIndonesia\u2019s digital sovereignty.<\/p>\n
Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Dudung\nAbdurachman said digital transformation must be matched by stronger\ncybersecurity as part of national resilience and sovereignty.<\/p>\n
Dudung also emphasised the importance of applying the\nsecurity-by-design principle, developing domestic cybersecurity\ntechnology and talent, and ensuring secure integration of national\ndata.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this context, Peruri\u2019s strategic role in developing high-security\ntechnology to support national digital trust has also been highlighted,\u201d\nDudung said in a statement on Wednesday (21 October 2026).<\/p>\n
Under the mandate of Presidential Regulation No.\u00a082 of 2023, Peruri\nhas been designated Indonesia\u2019s GovTech provider. The state-owned\nhigh-security technology company is also tasked with accelerating the\ncountry\u2019s digitalisation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is to support the transformation of an integrated, reliable and\nhighly secure Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE),\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian\nYuliarto stressed the importance of mastering strategic technologies,\nparticularly artificial intelligence, post-quantum cybersecurity and\nsemiconductors.<\/p>\n
He called for stronger collaboration between universities and\nindustry to accelerate the conversion of research into technological\nproducts. Brian also said universities would support the development of\nPeruri\u2019s human resources through further education, including master\u2019s\nand doctoral degrees, and research partnerships in chip technology.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet us build Indonesia\u2019s technological future, not merely so our\nnation can keep pace with global developments, but so that Indonesia can\nalso help create the future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Peruri President Director Teguh Arief Indratmoko said the company had\nspent more than five decades helping safeguard national sovereignty by\nprinting strategic physical documents, including rupiah banknotes,\npassports, stamps, excise bands and land certificates.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow, amid the civilisational shift towards the digital era, Peruri\nhas transformed into a technology company that guarantees the\nauthenticity of electronic documents, systems and digital identities,\u201d\nTeguh said.<\/p>\n
