Jakarta - The Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), General\n(Ret.) TNI Dudung Abdurachman, has revealed that the SPPG or kitchen for\nthe Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, which he inspected in West\nJakarta, has now been suspended, meaning its operations have been\nhalted.<\/p>\n
\u201cI inspected the SPPG yesterday, yes, the kitchen around Grogol and\nPetamburan. In my view, it was indeed not up to standard, and it was\nimmediately responded to by the Head of BGN, so it was suspended right\naway as I saw,\u201d Dudung said at the Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday\n(13\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n
At the MBG kitchen in question, Dudung found numerous maggots and\nrubbish that had not been collected despite being there for a week.<\/p>\n
He reminded the foundation owning the MBG kitchen not to merely seek\nprofit from the programme.<\/p>\n
Dudung will continue his inspections to MBG kitchens in West Java and\nCentral Java.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is what I inspected, and I will check several regions. I heard\nthat in Central Java and West Java, there are issues with the processes,\nfrom determining locations to food preparation, delivery, and so on,\nwhich do not meet standards,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cBGN has made every effort to the maximum as I see it, but in the\nfield, there are many discrepancies, and BGN has also made many\nimprovements,\u201d Dudung added.<\/p>\n
According to Dudung, foundations wishing to invest in the MBG\nprogramme must consider the nation\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur children are pitiful. Just recently, there was another poisoning\nincident, and things like this, I will continuously address them\ntogether with BGN to tackle anything that is not good,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n
Dudung Abdurachman found numerous maggots and rubbish at two SPPG or\nMBG programme kitchens in Kebon Jeruk and Petamburan, West Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Dudung requested that the MBG kitchens be immediately closed if they\ndo not make improvements.<\/p>\n
Because if left unchecked, it will certainly lead to poisoning cases\naffecting MBG recipient children in the future.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, I suggested to MBG and BGN to close it immediately. Look at the\nmaggots everywhere. This is very close; if not given time soon.
