        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) has\nemphasised its commitment to supporting Indonesia\u2019s energy transition\nand digital connectivity needs through synergies in digital\ninfrastructure and responsible energy transition.<\/p>\n<p>This commitment is being realised through the acceleration of new and\nrenewable energy (EBT) adoption, the transformation of sustainable\nmining practices, and the expansion of digital infrastructure via AI\nsolutions and equitable access to information.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn line with that, we continue to strengthen operational excellence\nthrough the implementation of greener, more efficient, and sustainable\npractices, from improving efficiency, optimising energy and resource\nuse, operational digitalisation, to measurable reductions in emissions\nand waste,\u201d said DSSA\u2019s Vice President Director Lokita Prasetya in an\nofficial statement in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>In sustainable mining practices, the company has implemented the\nacceleration of operational fleet electrification (EV fleets) at PT\nBorneo Indobara (BIB), which cuts operational costs while pioneering the\ntransition to green mining in the mining sector.<\/p>\n<p>In its EBT portfolio, the company operates an integrated 1 gigawatt\n(GW) solar panel factory in the Kendal Industrial Estate (KEK), as well\nas geothermal project development through PT DSSR Daya Mas Sakti.<\/p>\n<p>With potential reaching 440 megawatts (MW), the company is now\naccelerating exploration in six regions, including Cisolok and Cipanas\nin West Java, up to Sumatra, Flores, and Central Sulawesi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo strengthen technical and operational capabilities, DSSA is also\nforging strategic partnerships with PT FirstGen Geothermal Indonesia, a\nsubsidiary of Energy Development Corporation (EDC),\u201d said Lokita.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the company is bolstering its business in the digital\ninfrastructure and technology sector through a partnership with iFLYTEK\nto accelerate AI-based digital transformation in Indonesia, including\nthe development of various AI solutions (AI use-cases) and LLM (Large\nLanguage Model)-based analytics capabilities SPARK.<\/p>\n<p>This synergy is designed to deliver a smarter and more efficient\ndigital ecosystem across various industrial sectors, particularly\nhealthcare, education, telecommunications, and digital\ninfrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe growth in data and connectivity needs is the main driver of our\ndigital business development. We see great opportunities to promote\nequitable digital penetration by addressing existing gaps, while\ndelivering accessible AI-based solutions,\u201d said CEO of PT DSST Mas\nGemilang (DSST) Marlo Budiman.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the company operates a fibre optic network of around\n57,000 km, with more than 9 million homepasses and approximately 1\nmillion broadband customers through MyRepublic Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, infrastructure strengthening is supported by the\ndevelopment of a national data centre network covering 24 Edge Data\nCentres in 23 strategic markets from Medan to Manado to ensure\nlow-latency data processing.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the company is preparing Flagship Hub Jakarta SMX01, a\nTier-IV AI-ready facility with an initial capacity of 18 MW in the heart\nof Jakarta\u2019s CBD, scheduled to commence operations in the second half of\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>The company sees vast open market opportunities, with around 50\nmillion people not yet optimally served by internet and a national\ntelecommunications market potential of about 29 billion US dollars.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the fixed broadband market itself is projected to grow by\naround 10 percent annually in the coming years.<\/p>\n<p>DSSA Director David Audy views Indonesia\u2019s future opportunities,\nwhich will heavily adopt artificial intelligence (AI), where this AI\nadoption will be supported by two main foundations: reliable energy and\nequitable digital connectivity infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, DSSA is building both in an integrated manner,\nmaintaining the reliability of current energy supply while accelerating\nthe development of low-emission energy portfolios such as geothermal,\u201d\nsaid David.<\/p>\n<p>With this foundation, David stated that the company is in a strategic\nposition as both an enabler and beneficiary of AI adoption growth in\nIndonesia.<\/p>",
