Drunken group stabs sergeant<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A sergeant stationed at the Depok police
\nprecinct was badly stabbed on Monday by a member of a drunken
\ngroup after he failed to settle a dispute between the group and a
\npasser-by.<\/p>\n
\"Three of the five members of the group have been apprehended,
\nwhile the other two are still at large,\" Depok Police Head Lt.
\nCol. Sisno Adiwinoto on Monday.<\/p>\n
Sisno said that 2nd Sergeant Suryotopan, who was wearing
\ncivilian clothes at the time of the incident, was stabbed in the
\nearly hours on Monday while on his way home from a party at his
\nfriend's house on Jl. Benuang Raya, Depok.<\/p>\n
\"He was stabbed in the neck and back,\" he said, adding that
\nthe officer was currently being treated at the Soekanto Police
\nHospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.<\/p>\n
The three arrested members, all in their 30s, now in Depok
\npolice custody have been identified as Susanto, Agus Alamsyah and
\nAminuddin.<\/p>\n
The group stopped a pedestrian, named Yongky, and asked him to
\nbuy a bottle of beer for them, police said.<\/p>\n
Yongky refused and they attacked him just as sergeant
\nSuryotopan was passing down the street and saw the incident.
