Officers from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) and the police\nraided a drug dealer in Kampung Bahari, North Jakarta. The drug lord and\nseveral of his loyalists were arrested in the raid.<\/p>\n
\u201cMR, the drug lord, was arrested as he left his hideout; he was also\ncaught around Kampung Bahari,\u201d said BNN Director of Enforcement and\nPursuit, Brigadier General Roy Hardy Siahaan, when contacted by detikcom\non Thursday (13\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
The suspect with the initials MR was arrested on Thursday (13\/8)\nmorning after officers carried out surveillance. During the arrest,\nofficers seized a quantity of narcotics evidence.<\/p>\n
BNN officers then took MR into Kampung Bahari to develop the case. MR\nwas asked to show where the drugs were stored.<\/p>\n
However, the effort met resistance from a number of people believed\nto be MR\u2019s loyalists. They attacked officers by throwing stones and\nfirecrackers.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut then there was resistance from them; officers were shot at with\nfirecrackers. We then blocked and anticipated them, and we beat them\nback,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
A police officer was reported injured as a result of the resistance\nfrom the drug network. Officers managed to repel the drug lord\u2019s\nloyalists with tear gas.<\/p>\n
In the raid, officers secured a number of suspects and evidence. The\nsuspects and evidence were held at the North Jakarta BNN office.<\/p>\n
From photo documents obtained by detikcom, three people had been\ndetained. The three were sitting cross-legged with both hands\nhandcuffed.<\/p>\n
Drug Lord\u2019s Loyalists Fight Back<\/p>\n
In video footage obtained by detikcom, BNN and Brimob personnel were\nseen standing guard. They were in full uniform with bulletproof vests\nand helmets.<\/p>\n
The drug network fought back by shooting at officers using\nfirecrackers and fireworks. Officers responded with tear gas.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, officers also guarded the roads leading to Kampung\nBahari.
