The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has recorded an\nincrease in the number of residents affected by the water crisis\nresulting from drought in Bogor Regency, West Java. Latest data\nindicates that approximately 140,000 residents are now impacted.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe estimated impact of the drought or water crisis is 140,724\npeople,\u201d said the Head of Emergency and Logistics at BPBD Bogor Regency,\nM. Adam Hamdani, on Saturday (1\/8\/2026). The data covers the period from\n10 June to 31 July 2026. Currently, the number of sub-districts affected\nby the drought has reached 28.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe impact spans 104 villages or wards, with 267 distribution points\nestablished,\u201d he added. The agency has also been distributing clean\nwater assistance to the affected residents. To date, the total amount of\nclean water distributed has reached 1,142,000 litres.<\/p>\n
Previously, last week, BPBD recorded that 24 sub-districts in the\nBogor Regency area were affected by the drought caused by the dry\nseason, leaving 94,002 residents struggling to access clean water. This\nfigure was recorded between 10 June and 24 July 2026.
