        "content": "<p>Driving in Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>Regarding The Jakarta Post's article --Driving in Jakarta to <br>\nslow to snail's pace by 2020 on Dec. 17 --  I take the liberty to <br>\nsend my opinion as follows:<\/p>\n<p>The cheap partial solution to traffic in Jakarta is to enforce <br>\nthe \"intersection blocking rule\".<\/p>\n<p>This violation must be treated the same as running a red light <br>\nor a stop sign. This rule states a vehicle may not enter the <br>\nintersection unless the space in front is sufficient to make sure <br>\nthe intersection is not blocked.<\/p>\n<p>If the light is green you may not enter the intersection <br>\nunless there is room to be clear of the intersection when the <br>\nlight changes.<\/p>\n<p>I do hope my opinion will help the Jakarta Administration in <br>\ntheir efforts to overcome the traffic problem in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>GEORGES D.
