        "content": "<p>Drivers told to turn down music<\/p>\n<p>PEKANBARU, Riau: Police have stepped up a campaign to<br>\ndiscipline public transportation drivers, not only for bad<br>\ndriving but also for playing their stereos too loudly.<\/p>\n<p>As reported by Antara, passengers have often complained of<br>\ndeafening music in the minivans which serve as city<br>\ntransportation.<\/p>\n<p>To the chagrin of many passengers, it has become almost<br>\n\"trendy\" to play music at high volume.<\/p>\n<p>Large speakers are placed in the middle of the vehicle,<br>\nbetween the driver and the passengers in the back.<\/p>\n<p>\"We can't even sit straight because (if we did) our knees<br>\nwould bump into the speakers,\" complained Mrs Mardiah who takes a<br>\nminivan daily to the market.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers claim that they play loud music to attract as many<br>\nyouthful passengers as possible.<\/p>",
