        "content": "<p>A number of drivers and owners of urban public transport (angkot)\nheld a demonstration at Bogor City Hall. They are protesting the Bogor\nCity Government\u2019s policy that prohibits old minibuses from\noperating.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur demands are for the abolition or an extension of the reduction\nperiod. Given the current economic climate, it is too difficult to carry\nout vehicle rejuvenation. Other demands include the removal of the\nRegional Regulation (Perda) or the removal of the age restriction on\nminibuses,\u201d said Deden, a representative for the drivers, at Bogor City\nHall on Thursday (3\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Observers noted that the protesters brought their minibuses to Bogor\nCity Hall. Several vehicles were parked in the City Hall courtyard and\nalong the left side of Jalan Ir Juanda. A number of drivers delivered\norations from a command vehicle within the City Hall grounds.<\/p>\n<p>Police, the Department of Transportation, and the Bogor Public Order\nAgency (Satpol PP) were present to monitor the demonstration. Traffic\nflow in front of Bogor City Hall experienced delays.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe traffic situation in front of City Hall remains flowing across\ntwo lanes for motorcycles and cars, as two lanes on the left side are\nbeing used to park the minibuses participating in the protest at City\nHall,\u201d said Iptu Lukman, KBO Satlantas Polresta Bogor Kota.<\/p>\n<p>Bogor Mayor Didie A Rachim previously officially signed a regulation\nregarding the technical age limit for minibuses. Old minibuses over 20\nyears of age are now officially prohibited from operating in Bogor\nCity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday we signed the Mayor\u2019s Regulation (Perwali) regarding the\ntechnical age limit of urban transport, accompanied by steps such as\ndirect restrictions through joint operations, to ensure that urban\ntransport over 20 years of age is no longer permitted to operate in\nBogor City,\u201d said Dedie on Monday (15\/6).<\/p>\n<p>Following this, the Bogor City Government conducted raids on old\nminibuses. Last July, the Bogor City Government announced that it had\nrevoked the route permits for 313 old minibuses.<\/p>",
