Drivers' fate<\/p>\n

We should admit that, on the whole, the behavior of public
\ntransport drivers is mischievous. But this is a result of a chain
\nof problems -- from education to the government's economic
\npolicies.<\/p>\n
The situation is made worse by the incomplete application of
\nthe traffic law No. 14\/1992. As we know the law emphasizes
\nmatters concerning fines and sanctions imposed on violators of
\ntraffic regulations. In fact, the traffic law is also meant to
\nprotect the interest and fate of the drivers as stipulated in
\narticles 18, 19 and 20, so that the drivers can become partners
\nin the transportation sector, while at the same time their
\ndignity is enhanced.<\/p>\n
To this end I would like to suggest that the fine increase for
\nmisbehaving drivers be postponed until a number of more urgent
\nproblems are first addressed. I am certainly not against the
\nenforcement of traffic law, but protecting the interests of the
\ndrivers should be given higher priority.<\/p>\n
