Police have formally charged FS (22) as a murder suspect in\nconnection with the killing of Joxzin gang member Kitin Yogatama\nRustamaji, alias KYR (36). FS served as a ride-hailing driver who\ntransported SS, alias Cobro, the main perpetrator who carried out the\nkilling. Both are facing potential capital punishment.<\/p>\n
\u201cFS was formally charged as a suspect yesterday (10 March 2026),\u201d\nBantul Police Chief AKBP Bayu Puji Hariyanto told journalists at Bantul\nPolice Headquarters on Wednesday (11 March 2026).<\/p>\n
Hariyanto continued that both FS and SS, alias Cobro (29), are\ncurrently in custody at Bantul Police Headquarters and are undergoing\nfurther interrogation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have detained both suspects,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
SS faces charges under Article 459, subsidiary Article 458(1) of Law\nNo.\u00a01 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code. This pertains to crimes of\npremeditated murder \u2014 taking another person\u2019s life with prior planning.\nFS is charged under Article 459, subsidiary Article 458(1) read in\nconjunction with Article 20(c) of Law No.\u00a01 of 2023 concerning the\nCriminal Code.<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth face potential capital punishment, life imprisonment, or a\nmaximum of 20 years imprisonment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
KYR resided in Argomulyo, Sedayu, Bantul. He was killed whilst\nsleeping alongside his wife and child in the living room on Wednesday\n(25 February) at 05:30 WIB (Western Indonesian Time). The perpetrators\narrived by motorcycle wearing face coverings. One allegedly entered\nthrough an unlocked rear door and repeatedly stabbed the victim until he\ndied. The victim\u2019s wife, who attempted to protect him, was injured and\nrequired hospital treatment. No valuables were taken.<\/p>\n
The Bantul Police Chief stated that the victim and both perpetrators\nhad been drinking alcohol together at the victim\u2019s home. Afterwards, the\nvictim made remarks that offended Cobro, leading to the fatal\nassault.<\/p>\n
\u201cSS, FS, and the victim \u2014 eight people total \u2014 gathered at KYR\u2019s home\nfrom 20:00 WIB on 24 February until 04:00 WIB on 25 February, where they\nconsumed alcohol,\u201d the Bantul Police Chief explained.<\/p>\n
During the drinking session, conversations arose that were deemed\nhurtful to Cobro\u2019s feelings. The victim\u2019s words were: \u201cIf you think\nyou\u2019re pious, don\u2019t be here\u201d (in the Javanese dialect).<\/p>\n
\u201cAt 04:00 WIB, SS convinced FS to retrieve a machete from his house.\nThen at 05:00 WIB they returned to KYR\u2019s home via the rear door, finding\nKYR asleep with his child and wife, and proceeded to attack him\nrepeatedly,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
The Police Chief noted that Cobro wielded a brown-handled machete\nmeasuring 53 centimetres in length. Cobro struck KYR multiple times.<\/p>\n
