        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - The House of Representatives\u2019 Legislation Body (Baleg)\ndiscussed 417 Problem Inventory Lists (DIM) in the Domestic Worker\nProtection Bill (RUU PPRT).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNext, in accordance with the decision of the working meeting held\ntoday, 20 April 2024, the number of DIM for the Bill on Domestic Worker\nProtection is 417 DIM,\u201d said the Chairman of the DPR RI Legislation\nBody, Bob Hasan, when opening the meeting at the Parliamentary Complex,\nJakarta, on Monday (20\/4\/2024).<\/p>\n<p>Of that number, 254 fixed DIM have been approved in the working\nmeeting. Subsequently, the working committee will discuss the other\nDIM.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, beforehand, it will be explained again by the expert staff,\nso that in this working committee, in my opinion, it must also determine\nthe fixed DIM,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCan it be approved?\u201d Bob asked the meeting participants.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting participants agreed, and Bob banged the gavel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVery well. The working committee will discuss DIM that are\nsubstantive changes totalling 11 DIM, new substances 22 DIM, and those\nto be deleted 19 DIM. The compilation and recapitulation of the DIM for\nthe Bill as material that has been submitted to the respected and\nesteemed members of the Legislation Body,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<p>The DPR Legislation Body is giving special attention to the\ndiscussion of the RUU PPRT, which will regulate 11 important points.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Chairman of the DPR Legislation Body, Martin Manurung, stated\nthat the RUU PPRT has been in the National Legislation Program\n(Prolegnas) for 22 years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I think both the DPR and the government must give attention and\ncommitment so that this RUU PPRT can be completed soon,\u201d said Martin in\nopening the public hearing (RDP) on the RUU PPRT, on Wednesday\n(11\/3\/2024).<\/p>\n<p>Currently, regulations regarding domestic workers are limited to\nMinistry of Manpower Regulation Number 2 of 2015 on Domestic Worker\nProtection.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis means the level of regulation is still a ministerial\nregulation. Therefore, we need input before the working committee\ndiscusses and drafts the RUU PPRT, especially regarding patterns for\nresolving conflicts or labour disputes in the domestic worker sector,\u201d\nsaid Martin.<\/p>\n<p>At least, there are 11 important points that will be regulated in the\nRUU PPRT. Some of them include regulating rights for domestic\nworkers.<\/p>",
