        "content": "<p>Wakil Ketua DPR RI Sufmi Dasco Ahmad has stated that the deliberation\nof the Asset Forfeiture Bill is ongoing in the House of Representatives.\nHe noted that Commission III is currently soliciting extensive public\ninput regarding the draft regulation. \u201cThe Asset Forfeiture Bill is\ncurrently in process at the DPR, and the technical commission,\nCommission III, is currently discussing it and is now requesting a great\ndeal of public participation,\u201d Dasco said at the parliament complex in\nJakarta on Friday. Dasco noted the high level of public enthusiasm for\nproviding input on the bill. Consequently, during the recess period,\nCommission III continued to invite various community groups to provide\ntheir feedback. \u201cThere is a lot of interest from community groups,\norganisations, professions, and individuals who want to give their\ninput. So yesterday, Commission III, even during the recess, continued\nto discuss public participation for the Asset Forfeiture Bill,\u201d he said.\nDasco added that he would request a report from Commission III on the\nprogress of the bill\u2019s deliberation. \u201cWe will evaluate how far it has\nprogressed, and then we will discuss the procedures and other technical\nmatters related to the Asset Forfeiture Bill that is currently being\nprocessed,\u201d he stated. Deputy Speaker Saan Mustopa previously said the\nAsset Forfeiture Bill is targeted for completion this year as it is\nincluded in the 2026 Priority National Legislation Programme. However,\nSaan confirmed the DPR\u2019s commitment to ensuring the deliberation process\ninvolves broad public participation.<\/p>",
