        "content": "<p>Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission VIII,\nAbdul Wachid, revealed that the Saudi Arabian government is optimistic\nthat the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage will proceed safely despite conflicts in\nthe Middle East. Wachid stated that he had conducted a working visit to\nSaudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegarding the security situation there, alhamdulillah, from these\npreparations, the Saudi Arabian government is optimistic that the 2026\nHajj will still run smoothly, with the situation secure,\u201d Wachid said at\nthe parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday\n(7\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the Saudi Arabian government also hopes for peace\nefforts in the Middle East region. In particular, regarding the conflict\ninvolving Iran, Israel, and the United States.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are asked to hope and pray, for peace efforts to soon be realised\nin the Middle East between Iran and Israel, as well as America; this is\nwhat is always conveyed to us,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Indonesian Ambassador in Saudi Arabia also conveyed the same, as\ndid the Saudi Ambassador in Indonesia. We are very enthusiastic about\nthat,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Besides security issues, Abdul Wachid revealed that there are still\nseveral notes on the Hajj preparations. Based on monitoring results, he\nsaid that readiness at several main points is not yet fully\ncomplete.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe started by checking the accommodation, then catering, and Arafah,\nMina, Muzdalifah, as well as the Sholawat buses. These preparations, we\nsee in the situation there, are not yet 100 per cent maximal. There are\nstill areas that need improvement regarding the availability of tents in\nArafah and Mina,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He also urged the service providers and relevant authorities in Saudi\nArabia to immediately complete the construction of those facilities.\nBecause, he said, the current conditions in Saudi Arabia are quite\nstrict, especially for non-pilgrim residents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the strictest time, so there are many raids there, and it is\nhoped that for these preparations, they truly prepare manpower to build\nArafah, Mina, Muzdalifah,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, he said that the first batch of Indonesian Hajj pilgrims\nis scheduled to enter the embarkation dormitories on 21 April 2026.
