        "content": "<p>REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MANADO \u2013 A member of the DKI Jakarta Regional House\nof Representatives (DPRD) Budget Committee, Muhammad Taufik Zoelkifli,\nhas stated that development in the Kepulauan Seribu regency remains\nuneven. He indicated that the council\u2019s visit to North Sulawesi would\nserve as a benchmark to improve development in the island regency.<\/p>\n<p>MTZ made the remarks during a dinner reception with North Sulawesi\nGovernor Mayjen TNI (Purn) Yulius Selvanus, as part of a working visit\nby leaders and members of DPRD DKI Jakarta bodies to North Sulawesi on\nThursday (16\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>MTZ noted that Jakarta possesses a maritime area and islands spanning\na total of 6,900 square kilometres. Despite having a regional budget of\nRp 81 trillion, Jakarta still faces problems, including uneven\ndevelopment, particularly in the Kepulauan Seribu. \u201cIn fact, Kepulauan\nSeribu could become something much greater than it is now,\u201d he asserted.\nThe PKS faction chairman added that the area could be developed into a\nworld-class tourist destination or its fisheries could be managed more\neffectively.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut before we go that far, why don\u2019t we learn from North Sulawesi\u2019s\nmanagement?\u201d he said, also speaking on behalf of the DPRD DKI Speaker.\nHe expressed appreciation that the DPRD delegation was honoured to be\nreceived by the Governor. \u201cOn this working visit to Sulawesi, we started\nfrom South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi. Now we\nare in North Sulawesi, and this is the only place we have been directly\nreceived by the Governor, Mr.\u00a0Yulius Selvanus,\u201d MTZ said to\napplause.<\/p>\n<p>Also in attendance were the Chair of the Regional Legislation Body\nAbdul Aziz, Chair of Commission E DPRD DKI KH M Subki, and Budget\nCommittee members Ferrial Sofyan, Ghozi Zulazmi, Nabilah Aboe Bakar Al\nHabsyi, and August Hamonangan.
