        "content": "<p>House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Puan Maharani has stressed\nthat the DPR is ready to receive aspirations from various elements of\nsociety and has urged demonstrators to maintain order, following plans\nfor a protest on 27 August 2026 in front of the parliament complex in\nJakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Puan expressed hope that the demonstration would not descend into\nunrest. She said it would be better if protesters also helped maintain\norder so that the delivery of their aspirations could proceed\nsmoothly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, participation from the public, if they wish to state their input\nand express their aspirations, will of course be received at the DPR\nbuilding,\u201d Puan said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday (26\/8).<\/p>\n<p>Puan confirmed that the DPR would be open to members of the public\nwho wish to convey their aspirations. On Wednesday itself, she said, DPR\nleaders, leaders of the council\u2019s auxiliary bodies (AKD), and commission\nchairs took turns meeting with members of the public who wished to hold\naudiences.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDPR leaders can certainly meet with demonstrators.
