        "content": "<p>Deputy Chair of Commission XIII of Indonesia\u2019s House of\nRepresentatives (DPR), Sugiat Santoso, stated that President Prabowo\nSubianto\u2019s sacrificial animal aid programme using the national budget\n(APBN) is not new. He explained that using state funds for social\nactivities is standard practice for a head of state, as it is part of\nofficial duties to assist the public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a routine matter in state affairs. As head of state, the\nPresident has a budget allocated to help the people,\u201d Sugiat said in\nJakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the presidential Qurban programme has been in place\nsince previous administrations, not just under President Prabowo. The\naid, he noted, benefits thousands during Eid al-Adha.<\/p>\n<p>Sugiat emphasised that the President\u2019s assistance extends beyond\nsacrificial animals, with funds also supporting education, healthcare,\nand public facilities. \u201cIt\u2019s not just Qurban. Presidential aid covers\nmany areas such as education, health, and public infrastructure. Don\u2019t\nsee this as something new,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, President Prabowo distributed 1,098 Qurban cattle for Eid\nal-Adha 1447 Hijriyah, all sourced from local farmers and comprising\npremium breeds weighing over 800 kilograms to 1.3 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Minister of the State Secretariat, Juri Ardiantoro, stated the\ncattle breeds included Simmental, Limousin, Peranakan Ongole, Brahman,\nAngus, Bali cattle, FH, Belgian Blue, and Charolais. He added that the\nprocurement budget of approximately Rp10 billion came from the national\nbudget\u2019s presidential social assistance allocation, with prices adjusted\nbased on weight and regional locations.<\/p>",
