        "content": "<p>The KWP Award 2026, themed \u201cGuiding the Struggle, Appreciating\nDedication: Together Realising Golden Indonesia,\u201d was held again as a\nform of recognition for the tangible performance of people\u2019s\nrepresentatives and parliamentary partners. This biennial event,\ninitiated by the Parliamentary Journalists\u2019 Coordinating Body (KWP),\naims to acknowledge legislators, senators, and work partners who\ncontribute through legislative and oversight functions. This year, more\nthan 60 figures were included in the list of award recipients. The\nawards tradition has been consistent since the 2021 KWP Awards under the\nleadership of Marlen Erikson Sitompul to the 2023 KWP Awards led by\nAriawan with Samrut Lellosima. The implementation of the KWP Award 2026\nwas also supported by various state and private companies such as Bank\nMandiri, BNI, BRI, GoTo, Hutama Karya, PLN, Taspen, and Inalum, which\nreinforces the importance of collaboration in national development. In\nthe event, DPR RI member Muhammad Sarmuji received the award as the\nlegislator responsive to public aspirations. Sarmuji expressed\nappreciation for the award given by KWP and views it as recognition of\nthe political work that has been carried out. \u201cFirst, thank you to KWP.\nI was given the award as a legislator responsive to public aspirations,\u201d\nhe said. He emphasised that the award also serves as personal\nrecognition of his role in responding to community needs. \u201cPersonally, I\nwas given the award as a political figure responsive to public\naspirations,\u201d he stated. According to him, this award is relevant to the\nefforts that have been made in parliament to absorb and advocate for the\npeople\u2019s aspirations. \u201cThe award is relevant and of course I feel\nhonoured by the recognition from KWP because this award reflects the\nwork that has been done in Parliament,\u201d he explained. The KWP Award 2026\nis not just a ceremonial event but also a symbol of oversight and\nappreciation from parliamentary journalists for the performance of\npeople\u2019s representatives.
