        "content": "<p>The organising committee for the 2026 Joint Annual Session of the\nMPR, DPR, and DPD has decided to play only national and regional songs\nso that the session proceeds with solemnity.<\/p>\n<p>The decision on music is also intended to prevent session\nparticipants from dancing in the chamber when popular songs are played,\nas happened last year. The committee said this year\u2019s arrangements are\nthe result of an evaluation of the impact of the 2025 session.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2025 annual session, lawmakers\u2019 dancing to popular music\nafter the event triggered public sentiment and a wave of demonstrations\nat the end of August, less than a month later.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have evaluated it, and perhaps we will not do it [play songs that\ninvite dancing],\u201d said Mahyu Darma, Head of the Protocol, Public\nRelations, and Media Bureau of the DPD RI Secretariat General, at the\nparliamentary complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (12\/8).<\/p>\n<p>According to Mahyu, the building decorations have also been prepared\nsimply.
