        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives\n(DPR) Saan Mustopa said the space for the public to provide input on the\nsubstance of the Asset Forfeiture Bill remains open.<\/p>\n<p>Saan, in a statement received in Jakarta on Friday, explained that\nthe public can convey their views through representatives or\nspokespersons appointed to attend public hearing meetings (RDPU) at the\nDPR.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhoever the spokesperson is and whoever will be sent to attend the\nRDPU at the DPR, please submit all input regarding the substance and\ncontent of the bill. What the public\u2019s concerns and wishes are becomes\nour shared commitment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The DPR invited the public to monitor every stage of the deliberation\nso that the deadline that has been set can be met. This oversight is\nconsidered important to ensure the commitment to completing the bill\nproceeds according to schedule.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have jointly set the deadline for the ratification of the Asset\nForfeiture Bill no later than 15 December 2026. Let us together escort,\nguard, and monitor so that this date truly aligns with our shared\ncommitment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the Third Plenary Meeting of the DPR RI for Session\nPeriod I of the 2026\u20132027 Sitting Year affirmed the commitment to\ncomplete the Bill on Asset Forfeiture no later than 15 December\n2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thank the Chair of Commission III of the DPR RI who has delivered\nhis report and we are committed to completing the Asset Forfeiture Bill\ninto law. It was conveyed earlier that according to the DPR RI calendar,\nthe deadline is no later than 15 December 2026.
