Tangerang Regency (ANTARA) - Commission VII of the Indonesian House\nof Representatives (DPR RI) has stressed that the drafting of the\nIndustrial Estate Bill currently being prepared in the legislature is\nintended to promote equitable economic development in the regions.<\/p>\n
Chair of the Working Committee (Panja) of Commission VII DPR RI,\nChusnunia Chalim, said that the development of industrial estates today\nis closely linked to the economic growth of a region.<\/p>\n
Therefore, she continued, through a bill that will regulate the\ngovernance of an industrial estate with a complete ecosystem, its\nsupport for the regional economy will be even greater.<\/p>\n
She explained that the bill under discussion is expected to produce\ncomprehensive regulation covering three main areas: expansion of\nindustrial estates, good governance, and prevention of friction or\nclashes between industries that have previously drawn national\nattention, such as the case in Banten Province.<\/p>\n
In addition, Commission VII DPR RI also highlighted the importance of\nsupply chain management that optimises local raw materials and reduces\nimport dependency.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe availability of a workforce synchronised with industry needs\nthrough education policy is also an important note, especially for\nregions in the frontier areas,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Among other things, this includes legal certainty covering the land\nsector and the provision of permits, the supply of electricity and\nindustrial gas, internet connectivity, and the availability of\nsupporting transport access in industrial estates.<\/p>\n
